The one thing about living in an area where there is a lot of “mature” construction is that the homes in most neighborhoods contain such a variety of style character. Westchester is hardly “McMansion Central”. Don’t get me wrong, we have our share of McMansions, but they do not dominate the landscape. Quite the contrary, pre-war construction dominates many areas. This home was in the Village of Larchmont NY. The village “grew up” during the 1910’s-1920’s and as such – most every home creates its own unique impression. The photo above is of a home in the village of Larchmont NY. It is one-of-a-kind. The home seems to know what it is. There it stands, comfortable with its own uniqueness and confident that you won’t find 10 more just like it around the corner….
