The George Washington Bridge at Sunset (Black & White)

This photo was taken from the newly restore Yonkers Waterfront during a particularly vibrant sunset in late fall. Lately there has been so much talk about our crumbling infrastructure. The GW is a testimonial to our past commitment to growing our infrastructure and our future. It was completed during the darkest days of the Great Depression. The newly restored Yonkers waterfront is a hopeful symbol of our renewed commitment to our future.  You can also see the Freedom Tower – currently under construction, in the background.

As a general rule, sunsets should be shot in color, but strangely, this particular photo looks particularly good  in black and white as well.  A color version is, of course, available at the following link:  The GW Bridge at Sunset – Color).
