First – for the basics. The show is opening on Friday Feb 1, 5-7 PM at The Water Cooler in Tarrytown NY. The exact address is 21 North Broadway on Route 9. The location is less than a block north of Main St. Here is a link to the event. You can RSVP as attending or as a “maybe”. All are welcome! Please come…I’d love to meet you!
This is the first time my photography is being shown. For the most part, I have been a real estate photographer whose works got published on fliers and that amazing photography archive called the MLS! So I am more than a little nervous about how my more artistic style will be received. I will say that I have a little bit of something for everyone. Some black and white, some color, some are more artistic than realistic, others are straight-on landscapes. Although almost all the photos are from Westchester, there is a bow to the Upper West Side of Manhattan where I did some shooting over the fall.
Above is one of the photos that will appear in the show. I took it in early December on a very cold afternoon as the sun was starting to set at the Yonkers waterfront. The gulls looked so peaceful on the pylons and the sun was breathing orange fire on the water. You could feel the chill of the coming winter.
