Truth be told, I LOVE taking pictures of pets. They are so unconstrained. They aren’t interested in portraying an “image” and for the most part, they are not camera conscious. They are who they are at that moment in time. This makes doing pet portraits tremendous fun. These are two photos of Tundra. She is usually quite impish and full of fun and frolic. She is generally the mover and shaker in my pack of 3 dogs and if there is evidence of trouble about the house, Tundra is generally the prime suspect. In the first shot she is looking surprisingly thoughtful – a rare moment for such a free spirit. Two minutes later she was indulging in a “call of the wild”.
People often ask me what this dog actually is….so in case anyone is wondering – Tundra is a Siberian Husky. The all-white coat is a bit rare, but is actually written into the breed standard as legit.
