I’ve been struggling with a bout of bronchitis over the past few days. The enforced “rest” has been frustrating…although productive in its own strange way. I took the time to learn some new techniques on photoshop… Admittedly, I was working somewhat “passively” since I was really pretty miserable. But today I decided to edit some existing photos and had fun with blending modes. I took this series of photos last week at the Rockefeller Preserve. The water was alive with the color reflected from the trees. So I decided to enhance the positive. I loved the way this little bufflehead duck was making ripples in the water as he paddled around. The blending modes were a natural complement. I’ve used them in the past, but never in this way.
