The Westchester side of the Hudson River gets treated to a fresh new sunset every night. And each one is a unique entity. No two are exactly alike although there there are some seasonal characteristics. The pinkish hues that are visible in this photo are somewhat typical of the summer months. Since the sun reflects nicely off of the water, anyone living in one of the river towns can attest to the fact there is nothing quite like a sunset over a body of water. The sail boat that I managed to capture was out taking advantage of a beautiful evening and whoever was lucky enough to be on it had a front row seat for the sunset.
